SYMPTOMS

When you select an alias under a list object that has a renamed associated user object, you may receive the following error message:
The object "object DN before the rename" is not available :(32)

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, perform the following steps: on the View menu, point to Refresh, and then click All Views.

An alternate method is to close, and then re-open the Compass client.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
