XCLN:Do Not Receive a Read Receipt from Conference Resource Mailboxes (269083)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server

This article was previously published under Q269083

SYMPTOMS

If you request a read receipt when you send a calendar conference meeting request, you receive a "Not read" e-mail notification receipt.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the Conference Management Service (CMS) moves the conference meeting request from the resource mailbox, and then deletes the original meeting request. You receive a "Not read" e-mail notification receipt after the meeting request is deleted.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, do not enable the Read receipt option when you book Exchange 2000 conferences.
