DeInterlacing Live MBR Content Only Works with Smaller Frame Sizes (269065)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows Media Encoder 7
- Microsoft Windows Media Encoder 7.1
This article was previously published under Q269065 SYMPTOMS
When you encode multiple bitrate files in conjunction with the DeInterlace feature, the Windows Media Encoder may cause the following error message to occur:
The encoder could not process enough data for acceptable output quality ...
CAUSE
In some cases, the Encoder cannot keep up with the amount of system resources required to DeInterlace the amount of data coming into the Encoder. Some factors that limit resources include CPU speed, system memory, and hard drive (for example, SCSI or IDE).
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, select a stream with fewer video streams in it, or change the frame size in the profile to something smaller (less than or equal to 320x240). You can also potentially upgrade your CPU.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows Media Encoder version 7.0.
