XL2000: Name Cannot Be Applied to Formulas on All Sheets in a Workbook (268974)

In Microsoft Excel 2000, you are able to create a name to represent a formula or a constant value.
However, when you attempt to apply a name to a formula that references a formula or a constant value on a different worksheet, you receive the following error message:
Microsoft Excel cannot find any references to replace.
CAUSE
In Excel, a name may be applied only to the worksheet that contains the formulas that the name has been defined to reference.
