Strategic Commander: Pressing TAB in Description Box Selects Button Not Command (268941)

SYMPTOMS

When you edit a SideWinder Strategic Commander profile and you press the TAB key, the focus may return to the programmable button that you are editing, instead of the Command box as you expect.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the active insertion point is in the Description box.

NOTE: When you edit an existing profile, the TAB key acts like the ENTER key. When you press the TAB key, you save your changes in the Description box, and then the focus returns to the button that you are reprogramming.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, press the TAB key twice more to select the Command box, or use your pointing device to click the Command box.
