SYMPTOMS

When you connect a Microsoft SideWinder Strategic Commander to your computer, the functions that are assigned to the SideWinder Strategic Commander may be played repeatedly.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur if the Strategic Commander is not centered correctly when you connect it to the computer or when you start the computer.

RESOLUTION

To prevent this issue from occurring, make sure that the SideWinder Strategic Commander is centered properly before you connect the device to your computer or before you start your computer.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in SideWinder Strategic Commander.
