The Now Playing tools contain options to customize the Now Playing view in Windows Media Player. To view the Now Playing tools, point to Now Playing Tools on the View menu.

Show Playlist

The Show Playlist command shows the playlist in the view window. To hide the current playlist, point to Now Playing Tools on the View menu, and then click Show Playlist.

Show Titles

The Show Titles command shows the titles of the items that are playing in the Now Playing pane. To hide the current titles, point to Now Playing Tools on the View menu, and then click Show Titles.

Show Visualizations

The Show Visualizations command controls the display of graphical visualizations in the Now Playing pane. To hide the visualizations, point to Now Playing Tools on the View menu, and then click Show Visualizations.

Show Equalizer and Settings

The Show Equalizer and Settings command controls the various equalizer settings and video settings. The following list describes each of the settings:
  • SRS WOW Effects - These settings are provided by SRS Labs. The SRS WOW technology provides panoramic three-dimensional sound with deep, rich bass from only two speakers or from headphones. Windows Media Player includes four user controls to customize the sound experience of SRS WOW effects.
  • Graphic Equalizer - The Graphic Equalizer is a ten-band equalizer with eight preset settings and the ability to customize each one.
  • Video Settings - Video settings controls the brightness and contrast for the Media Player video playback options.
  • Media Information and Captions - These two options both provide information in the video pane either about the file, or information that is designed to be displayed with the media file.

Show Resize Bars

The Show Resize Bars command displays or hides the bars between the playlist, view window, and tools sections of the Now Playing pane.
