FIX: onload Event Does Not Fire for Active Desktop (268772)

If you select an HTML page as the background wallpaper for the Active Desktop, and you enable at least one desktop item, that page's onload event never fires. If you do not enable a desktop item, the problem does not occur.

STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Internet Explorer version 5.5 Service Pack 1.MORE INFORMATION
You cannot force the onload event to fire without disabling all desktop items on the Active Desktop. When you write an Active Desktop background HTML page that must run on the released version of Internet Explorer 5.5, your script must assume that the onload event may not fire as expected.
