Works 6: Task Launcher Text Is Truncated (268739)

SYMPTOMS

When you select a task on the Programs tab of the Microsoft Works Task Launcher, some text on the right side of the screen may be truncated.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if both of the following conditions are true:

  • A video adapter based on the S3 Trio 64 V2 chip set is installed in your computer.

  • The screen resolution in Microsoft Windows is set to 800 x 600 pixels or lower.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, set your screen resolution to 1024 x 768 pixels or higher. To change your screen resolution, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Display.
  3. Click the Settings tab.
  4. Move the Screen area slider to a setting of 1024 x 768 pixels or higher.
  5. Click OK.
