Works 6: Word Processor Document Containing HTML Is Not Printed Correctly (268737)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Works 6

This article was previously published under Q268737

SYMPTOMS

When you send a Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) document to a blank Microsoft Works Word Processor document from Works Portfolio, and you then attempt to print the document, the printed document may not appear the same as it does on screen in Works Word Processor.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the HTML document contains table cells of less than 18 points in width. Table cells less than 18 points in width may cause clipping when a Works Word Processor document is printed.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, paste the document into a different word processing program, such as Microsoft Word, and then print the document.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Works 6.
