ENT2001: You Do Not Receive a Notification Alert Message for Messages Moved by a Rule Condition (268700)

SYMPTOMS

When your messages are moved by a rule to a folder other than your Entourage Inbox, you may not receive a notification alert message.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, add an additional condition to the rule so that a dialog box is displayed when the rule moves the message.

When you use the Rule feature, you can add criteria and actions that meet certain conditions. The rule can evaluate these conditions, and then runs multiple actions. When you add a Display Dialog action to the rule, you receive an alert message that notifies you when you receive messages that meet a rule condition.

To display a dialog box when the rule moves the message:
  1. On the Tools menu, click Rules.
  2. In the Rules box, double-click the rule to which you want to add an additional action.
  3. In the Then box, click Add Action, click the first list, and then click Display Dialog.
  4. Click Display Message, and then type the alert text that you want to receive with your messages.
  5. Click OK, click OK, and then close the Rules dialog box.
