CAUSE

There is not enough free memory to start the Sherlock utility.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, close open windows and any programs that are running to free memory.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

When adequate memory is available on your computer, if you click Find in the attachment pane, you receive the following message:

You are being switched to the Finder's find file utility. Drag files into the message window to attach them to the message.

If you click OK, the Sherlock utility starts, and you can choose search parameters for the file that you want to find. In circumstances where memory is low, if you click OK, the Sherlock utility does not start.
