WD2001: Web Page Background Disappears When You Use the Formatting Palette (268425)

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Word 2001, when you use the Formatting Palette to change the theme of your Web page, the background image of the Web page may disappear.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, click Theme on the Format menu to select a different theme for your Web page.

If you use the Formatting Palette to change the theme of your Web page and you wish to retrieve the background for your Web page, follow these steps:
  1. Click Theme on the Format menu.
  2. Click to select the Background Image check box, and then click OK

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Word 2001 Macintosh Edition.
