WD2001: All Pages in a Document That Is Protected for Comments Are Incorrectly Renumbered (268421)

When you protect a Microsoft Word document for comments, all of the page numbers in the document are changed to the same number.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, remove the automatic page numbers.
To do this, follow these steps:
- On the View menu, click Header and Footer.
- Select the page number, and then press DELETE.
If you want to protect a Word document for comments, and you require page numbers, you need to manually type the page numbers in the appropriate locations in your document before you protect the Word document. NOTE: If you manually type the page numbers into your document, Word is not able to programmatically manage the page numbers for you.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Word 2001 for Mac.
