PPT2001: Picture Bullet Is Displayed on an Empty First Line Bullet List (268405)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft PowerPoint 2001 for Macintosh
This article was previously published under Q268405 SYMPTOMS
When you format a bulleted list with a picture bullet, and you press RETURN on the first line, the picture bullet does not move to the second line as expected. Instead, the bullet remains on the first blank line, and a new picture bullet is created on the second line. This behavior only occurs on the first line of a bulleted list, and when you define a picture as a bullet.
RESOLUTION
To remove the bullet from the first line, follow these steps:
- Place your insertion point on the first line containing the picture bullet.
- Press DELETE to delete the picture bullet.
To prevent this problem from occurring, reposition the text frame lower on the slide rather than having a blank line for the first line.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
