PPT2001: Inserted Movie Pauses Slide Show (268403)

Movies set to play across multiple slides do not do so when you save the presentation as a Microsoft PowerPoint Movie. Instead, the inserted movie pauses the slide show and allows it to continue only after the movie is finished playing.
RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, do not save the file as a PowerPoint Movie, but instead run the presentation from within the PowerPoint program.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
