SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Office 2001 for Mac, when you drag a document onto a program icon, the program starts, but the expected Registration dialog box may not appear.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you always start your Office programs by dragging documents onto the program icons.

RESOLUTION

The Registration dialog box appears the first time that you start a given Office program by double-clicking the program icon.
