OFF2001: Error Message: There Are Too Many Items in This Folder, Some Will Not Be Shown (268390)

When you attempt to insert a graphic object in any Microsoft Office 2001 for Mac program (point to Picture on the Insert menu, and then click From File), you may receive the following error message:
There are too many items in this folder, some will not be shown.
CAUSE
This problem can occur when all of the following conditions are true:
- You point to Picture on the Insert menu, and then click From File.
- You navigate to a folder that contains several hundred clip art files (such as one of the clip art folders included in the Value Pack).
- You are using a computer with the Macintosh OS 8.1 operating system or earlier.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, upgrade your computer's operating system to Macintosh OS 8.5.1 or later. This problem does not occur if you are using a computer with the Macintosh 8.5.1 operating system or later.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, use one of the following methods:
- On the Insert menu, click Picture, and then click Clip Art to view clip art graphics in the Clip Gallery. If the folder is not installed in the ClipArt folder, click the Import button, and then locate and open the folder to view the graphics in the Clip Gallery.

- Divide the large clip art folders into smaller folders.
NOTE: Consider organizing your clip art by moving your favorite clip art files to new folders with folder names of your own choice.
