OFF2001: Value Pack Installer Incorrectly Reports Success When Cancelled (268386)

When you use the Value Pack installer to install individual components, you may receive the following error message:
Setup found more than one copy of the folder "Shared Applications".
Please locate it inside your Office 2001 folder.
If you click Cancel in the install dialog box, you receive the following message:
The operation was successful. If you are finished, click Quit to leave.
However, no components are installed.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs when there is more than one version or copy of Microsoft Office installed on the computer.
WORKAROUND
There is no workaround for this issue, although it causes no further problems or unexpected behavior.
