SYMPTOMS

If you export a calendar that contains recurring weekday appointments to any file format other than a personal folder file (.pst) format, the recurring weekday appointments are also displayed on the weekends in the exported file.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem:
  1. Export the recurring appointments from your Calendar to a Comma Separated Values (Windows) File format (.csv file):
    1. Open your Calendar, and then click Import and Export on the File menu.
    2. Under Choose an action to perform, click Export to a file, and then click Next.
    3. Under Create a file of type, click Comma Separated Values (Windows), and then click Next.
    4. Under Select folder to export from, click Calendar, and then click Next.
    5. Under Save exported file as, type the file name and path, and then click Next.
    6. Under The following actions will be performed, click Finish.
    7. Under Set Date Range, select the date range that you want, and then click OK.
  2. Use Microsoft Excel or a text editor to edit the .csv file and remove the weekend appointments. Use the edited .csv file.
