When you attempt to start Microsoft Word or open an existing document in Word, you receive the following error message:
WINWORD performed a General Protection Fault in module HPMWINWA.DLL.
CAUSE
This problem may occur when your printer driver is damaged. The problem has been reported with the following Hewlett Packard OfficeJet R-series printers: - Hewlett Packard OfficeJet R40 All-in-One
- Hewlett Packard OfficeJet R80 All-in-One
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, uninstall and then reinstall the Hewlett Packard OfficeJet R-series printer driver. To do this, follow these steps:
- Quit all Microsoft Windows programs.
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
- On the Install/Uninstall tab, click to select Hewlett Packard OfficeJet R-series Printer.
- Click Add/Remove.
- After the printer driver has been removed from your computer, restart your computer.
- Reinstall your Hewlett Packard OfficeJet R-series printer driver.
