PUB2000: Cannot Insert Picture Directly from Picture It! or PhotoDraw (268351)

When you point to Picture on the Insert menu in Microsoft
Publisher 2000, the following commands are not present:
- From Picture It!
- From PhotoDraw
CAUSE
These commands do not exist.
The steps in the following Microsoft Publisher 2000 online Help topics
are incorrect:
- Add a picture using Microsoft PhotoDraw
- Add a picture using Microsoft Picture It!
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, start Picture It! or PhotoDraw, and then create
and save the picture that you want to insert into your publication.
NOTE: If you want to print the publication at a commercial printing
service, Microsoft recommends that you save the picture in TIFF format and
then link to the picture from Publisher 2000.
To insert a saved image from Picture It! or PhotoDraw into a Publisher
2000 publication:
- Click the Picture Frame Tool, and then draw a box on the
appropriate page of the publication.
- On the Insert menu, point to Picture, and then
click From File.
- Click the picture that you want to insert into the
publication.
- Click the arrow on the Insert button.
- Click Link to File.

If you link to a picture from a publication, you ensure that the original picture is included when you pack your files for your printing service.
