SYMPTOMS

When you run the Audio Wizard test in the Microsoft SideWinder Game Voice software, you may not be able to hear your voice through the headphones or speakers during the speaker test.

But, when you start a chat session with someone, the other person can hear you and you can hear them.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you have the following sound card installed in your computer:

Diamond Sonic Impact sound card with the ESS Maestro-2 chip set.

MORE INFORMATION

Although there is an issue with the test, chat functions correctly.
