CAUSE
Microsoft Excel does not provide these capabilities for custom headers or footers.
WORKAROUND
To work around this limitation, use print titles if you want to repeat cell contents or a graphic on every printed page. For example, to have the same graphic appear at the top of every page, follow these steps:
- Save and close all open workbooks and then open a new workbook.
- On the Tools menu, click Customize.
- Right-click any toolbar button, and then click Copy Button Image. Click Close.
- On the Edit menu, click Paste.
This will paste the button image into cell A1.
- On the Edit menu, click Go To.
- In the Reference box, type A1:C100 and click OK.
- Type my test and press CONTROL+ENTER.
This will populate the range A1:C100 with the string my test.
- Clear the text in cells A1:C1, leaving only the pasted image in cell A1.
- On the File menu, click Page Setup, and then click the Sheet tab.
- In the Rows to repeat at top box, type 1:1. Click OK.
- On the File menu, click Print Preview.
- Click Next.
The image in cell A1 will be repeated at the top of the page.
