Works 2000: Problems Using Task Launcher or Online Help (268063)

SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Works, you may experience one or both of the following symptoms:
  • When you click a task in Works Task Launcher, the mouse pointer changes from an arrow to an hourglass, but the task does not start.
  • When you click a topic in the online Help window, the mouse pointer changes from an arrow to an hourglass, but the Help topic does not open.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if your installation of Microsoft Internet Explorer is damaged.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, download the latest version of Internet Explorer. To do so, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
