When you use the 3D Maze screensaver your monitor may not go into Standby mode at the set time.
To observe this behavior, follow these steps: - Set the screensaver to start in 4 minutes.
- Set the monitor to be switched off in 5 minutes.
- Make note of the time, so you can observe how long it takes for the monitor to switch off.
The monitor turns off in 9 minutes, after the screensaver setting starts.
If you set a long time (several minutes) for these settings, the system may delay shutting down the monitor or entering Standby mode by a considerable amount of time. If you are use a laptop computer this can lead to a reduction in the life of the laptop's battery.
CAUSE
The 3D Maze screensaver is resetting the monitor off timer when started.
