Sound Recorder Does Not Record from an Audio CD-ROM While Media Player 7 Is Playing the Music (267592)

SYMPTOMS

When you use Windows Media Player 7 or 7.1 to play an audio CD-ROM, you are unable to use Sound Recorder to record the music as you could with previous versions of Media Player.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Windows Media Player 7 and 7.1 provide a recording option, and because of this, Sound Recorder is now prevented from recording when you play an audio CD-ROM.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use the recording tool in Windows Media Player 7 or 7.1.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
