ODE: "Missing File" Errors When You Have Different Language Versions of Office 97 Developer Edition and Access 97 (267587)

SYMPTOMS

When you run the Setup Wizard on a computer on which you have installed different language versions of Microsoft Office 97 Developer Edition and Microsoft Access 97, you may receive "missing file" errors.

CAUSE

Microsoft Access 97 and Microsoft Office 97 Developer Edition must be the language version. Differences between language versions can be dramatic, and mixing language versions is not supported.

RESOLUTION

Make sure that you have the same language version of Microsoft Access 97 and Microsoft Office 97 Developer Edition.
