SYMPTOMS

After you install a scanner and run Scanner and Camera Wizard, when you click Adjust the quality of the scanned picture, you may not be able to change the default settings for brightness and contrast for all the scanned pictures.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, change the brightness and contrast for each picture by following these steps:
  1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Scanner and Camera Wizard.
  2. Click Next.
  3. Click Adjust the quality of the scanned picture.
  4. On the Advanced Properties box, adjust the brightness and contrast settings by moving the slider to the left or to the right.
