SYMPTOMS

When you print from Sierra Print Artist Platinum 4.5, you may receive the following error message:
An error has occurred in the program. To keep working anyway, click Ignore and save your work in a new file. To quit this program, click Close. You will lose information you entered since your last save.
If you click Close, you may receive the following error message:
Prtartst has caused an error in Prtartst.exe. Prtartst will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer.
If you click OK, Print Artist Platinum 4.5 quits.

CAUSE

This issue can occur when you print to a printer other than your default printer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use the default printer to print or obtain Print Artist Platinum 8.0 or later.

You may receive this error message if you try to switch to the non-default printer while you are trying to print from Print Artist Platinum 4.5. For example, if you click File, and then click Print, the Print Control Panel/Preview dialog box is displayed. If you then click Setup, click Specific Printer, click a non-default printer, and then click OK, you may receive the error messages that is mentioned in the "Symptoms" section.
