SYMPTOMS

After you install the Active Directory Connector (ADC) on a member server, connection agreements cannot be saved and you receive the following error message:
An Error has occurred while saving the Connection Agreement credentials with the security authority on the ADC server responsible for this Connection Agreement. Please ensure that the account you are logged in as has permissions to administer the ADC Service and that the ADC Service has been started as a member of the built-in Administrators security group. id no:c103aa66

Microsoft Active Directory Connector Management

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the Setup routine adds the account that is chosen as the ADC service account to the Domain Exservers group, but it does not add it to the local computer's Administrators group.

WORKAROUND

Add the account that was chosen for the service account to the local computer's Administrators group.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
