PRB: Files Copied from CD-ROM Marked Read Only in Target Image (267371)

SYMPTOMS

When you are building and installing an image by using a CD-ROM repository, the files are copied to the target folder with the read-only attribute set.

CAUSE

This is an extension of default Windows Explorer behavior, in which files copied from a CD-ROM keep their read-only attribute on the target.

RESOLUTION

If necessary, change the read-only attribute manually for the files that may need modification.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
