Cannot Add a Usbmon Port for Local Printer (267351)

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to add a new Universal Serial Bus (USB) usbmon port for your local printer, nothing happens when you select usbmon in the Add Port dialog box and then click OK.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the usbmon port is not a valid selection and should not be available.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, click Local Port in the Add Port dialog box, and then click OK. In the Port Name dialog box, type USB_Printer, and then click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition.
