When you install the Hewlett-Packard (HP) 2001 Printer using the HP LaserJet 2000 printer driver on your Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me) computer, you are able to print but you may receive the following error message:
Windows has not installed the software for this device.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur when you install the HP LaserJet 2000 printer driver for the HP LaserJet 2001 printer.
RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, do not install the HP LaserJet 2000 printer driver for the HP LaserJet 2001 printer. Windows Me does not currently support the HP LaserJet 2000 printer driver for the HP LaserJet 2001 printer.
