Restore Operation Fails if a Folder Has the Same Name As a File in the Root Directory (267123)

When you use System Restore and you click Undo my last restoration, you may receive a message stating that the operation was unsuccessful.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if there is a file in the root directory that has the same name as the folder that was removed by the System Restore operation.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, rename or move the file in the root directory that has the same name as the folder that you are working with.
