SYMPTOMS

When you start and then minimize Internet Explorer version 5.5, and you then start and quit another program (for example, My Computer), you may still be able to use keystrokes that are accepted within the browser.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if Internet Explorer retains the focus on the toolbar.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
