Renamed Folder Has Original Name When Viewed in Windows Explorer (266990)

When you view a directory listing in Windows Explorer when Windows Explorer is rooted, for example, "explorer /root, c:\", a folder that you renamed is displayed with its original name in the Folders Explorer bar.
NOTE: The new folder name is displayed in the main Windows Explorer window.
CAUSE
This issue can occur if you reopen a rooted Windows Explorer program after you renamed the folder in another Windows Explorer window.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, press F5 to refresh the Folders Explorer bar in the rooted Windows Explorer program.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
