Find Setup Wizard in McAfee Guard Dog 2.0 Generates Error Message, 'Unable to Display the Find Tab (177)' (266965)

SYMPTOMS

When you run the Find Setup Wizard in McAfee Guard Dog 2.0's Help file, you may receive the following error message when you click Finish to create a word list:
Unable to display the Find tab (177)

CAUSE

This behavior can occur when you are using version 2.0 of the Guard Dog program, and the Guard Dog Help file references a *.hlp file that has the same name as a file in the \Windows\Help folder.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact McAfee for an updated version (Guard Dog 3.12 or later) that is compatible with Windows Millennium Edition. Visit the following McAfee Web site:

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
