When you install the UMAX Powerlook 1100 Scanner for the first time on a computer running Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), Plug and Play detects the scanner and installs the drivers, but you do not receive the "New Hardware Found" message. The scanner is silently installed in the background, with no notification that the hardware was detected.
