SUMMARY

For Windows Media Player for Pocket PC or Palm-size PC devices to play music files that have been stored using a storage device such as PC Card FlashCard, CompactFlash, or Microdrive, the files must be stored in My Documents or its subfolders. Windows Media Player does not detect music files stored in other locations.

This is a design feature of Windows Media Player for Pocket PC and Palm-size PC devices. Only files stored in the My Documents or its subfolders are detected and made available for playback.
