This article was previously published under Q266662 SYMPTOMS
When you install FrontPage 2000 to a hard disk drive that does not have your operating system files, you may receive the following error message:
Not enough disk space on OS drive
Where OS drive is the hard disk where you installed your version of Windows.
CAUSE
When you install FrontPage, some files are copied to your Windows system folder, even though you installed the FrontPage program files to another hard disk. The system requirement for installation is 167 MB on the operating system hard disk or partition; however, it is recommended that you have at least 200 MB of hard disk space.
RESOLUTION

- Uninstall software programs that are not being used. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
- In the list, select any programs that are not being used or are used infrequently, and then click Add/Remove.
- Empty the Recycle Bin. To do this, follow these steps:
- Minimize any open windows.
- On the Windows desktop, right-click Recycle Bin, and then click Empty Recycle Bin.
- Delete the files in any temporary directories.
- Clear your Web browser's cache and temporary Internet files.
