Encarta 2001: Video Clip Unexpectedly Restarts in Full-Screen Mode (266531)

SYMPTOMS

When you play a video clip that is included with Microsoft Encarta Reference Suite 2001 DVD-ROM version, the video clip may unexpectedly restart in full-screen mode.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, reduce the desktop size and the color palette setting in Microsoft Windows:
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Display.
  3. Click the Settings tab.
  4. Move the Screen area slider to 800 by 600 pixels or lower.
  5. In the Color Palette or Colors box, click High Color (16 bit) or lower.
  6. Click OK, and then close Control Panel.
  7. If you are prompted to restart the computer, do so.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Encarta Reference Suite 2001 DVD-ROM version.
