order that they appear in.
Install the latest DirectX Media Runtime files
To install the latest DirectX Media Runtime files, follow these
steps:
- Download the Enduser.exe file from the Microsoft Download Center. The following file is available for
download from the Microsoft Download Center:
Download
the Enduser.exe package now. Release Date: Aug-30-1999

Microsoft scanned this file for viruses. Microsoft used the most
current virus-detection software that was available on the date that the file
was posted. The file is stored on security-enhanced servers that help prevent
any unauthorized changes to the file.
- Quit all unnecessary programs that are running on your
computer. To do this, follow these steps:
- Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE.
- In the Close Program dialog box, click any program except Explorer or Systray (which
are components of Microsoft Windows), and then click End Task.
If you receive a message that the program is busy or
not responding, click End Task again. - Repeat steps A-B to quit all programs that are running
on your computer except Explorer and Systray.
