This article was previously published under Q265918 SYMPTOMS
When you click Undo Format on the Edit menu in Microsoft Works Spreadsheet, the row numbers and column headers may not change back to the original format. However, the formatting is cleared for the worksheet itself.
For example, if you click Select All on the Edit menu, format the font to size 18, and then click Undo Format on the Edit menu, the formatting is cleared for the worksheet. However, the row numbers and the column headers maintain the font size of 18.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if you click Select All on the Edit menu to select the entire worksheet.
RESOLUTION
To work around this problem, do not click Select All on the Edit menu to select the entire worksheet. Instead, follow these steps:
- Select the first cell of the range, and then press and hold down the left mouse button, and then drag the pointer to the last cell of the range.
- Apply the formatting that you want.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
