When you are installing Windows 2000 Service Pack 1 (SP1) on a computer that has a Number Nine Visual Technology Corporation Revolution IV video adapter installed, the computer may stop responding (hang) during SP1 Setup when Setup is backing up Msdadc.dll.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because of a known problem in the Number Nine Visual Technology Corporation Revolution IV video adapter driver.
RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, restart the computer and attempt the installation a second time. The second attempt at installation should work correctly.
