The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
This article was previously published under Q265812 SYMPTOMS
When you are running Update.exe with the /s option, the files that are listed in the Update.inf file may be missing from the Service Pack share point, and no error message may appear.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the update.exe /s command does not use the Update.inf file. It is assumed that the folders are set up correctly.
RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, set up the folders correctly on the Service Pack media.
