Windows Movie Maker Projects Are Not Saved Correctly (265698)

When you save a Microsoft Windows Movie Maker project file, it is saved without the Windows Movie Maker .mswmm extension.
CAUSE
This issue occurs because the name of the file has more than the maximum number of characters that the File Name box can contain.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, give your Windows Movie Maker project file a name that has less than the maximum number of characters available in the File Name box.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
