The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition

This article was previously published under Q265601

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to set a start trim point to an animated .gif file, the trim point may not be applied. The animated .gif file then is played in its entirety.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

An animated .gif file may be an indefinite loop; there is no true start or end point to the file. Therefore, setting a start trim point may not be possible.
