FP2000: Server Sent a Message That Cannot Be Parsed (265345)

When your clients connect to your server, they may receive a message stating that the server sent a message that could not be parsed.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you are using Microsoft Windows NT with the Microsoft FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions, and you permit anonymous access and use Windows NT Challenge/Response (NTLM) authentication.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, change the authentication access to Basic. WARNING: Basic authentication is sent in clear text. User names and passwords may be vulnerable to hackers.
- Start Microsoft Internet Information Services.
- Right-click the Web site that you want.
- Click Properties on the shortcut menu.
- Click the Directory Security tab.
- Under Anonymous access an authentication control, click Edit.
- Under Authenticated access, click to select the Basic authentication check box.
- Click to clear the NTLM check box.
