FP2000: ASP Web Wizard Is Unavailable When You Create a Web (265277)

SYMPTOMS

After you install the ASP Web Wizard 2000, it may not be available when you create a new web in Microsoft FrontPage 2000.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the wizard folder Aspsamp2k.wiz is in the wrong location.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, move Aspamp2k.wiz to the proper location. To do so, follow these steps:
  1. Start Microsoft Windows Explorer.
  2. Find the Personal.tem folder.
  3. Find the Aspsamp2k.wiz folder.
  4. Move the Aspsamp2k.wiz folder to the Webs folder where the Personal.tem folder resides.NOTE: If you find more than one Personal.tem folder, repeat step 4 until you find the correct location (as evidenced by the fact that the wizard opens as expected).
